Both the
above documents are capable of being printed from the
Chamber of Commerce e-Cert system with data having been transferred from
your Formwise system.
The next few documents are readily available and we would offer the following
known sources:-
a. Tate Freight Forms b LT Printing Services c Hazchem
Tel: 01908 221162 Tel: 0151 647 8006 Tel: 0161 339 0821
please note that you can access the Tate Freight Forms and Croners web sites via the Help menu from the Toolbar
3. Standard Shipping Notes: Originally these documents were printed on colour flashed NCR paper, with the Formwise system printing both format and data on to the paper. However in practice many customers print this document on plain paper. If you do decide to print on to the official paper, then depending on the order, direction and document feed of the nominated printer, you may also need the sets to be provided in reverse collation.
4. Dangerous Goods Notes: ask your stationer to supply the formats loose-leaf, suitable for use in a laser printer, ie thicker than the sheets from a normal set, to ensure trouble free feeding through the printer. Please note that the regulations do not insist that forms printed in red are used, and one of our customers is using monochrome prints having faxed them to the receiver first.
Some users have had a batch of plain paper with red hatchings supplied. We
also have added options to print the red hatches with your printer, or
printing this option to Pdf and the receiver will be able to print the
colour prints,
5. IATA Dangerous Goods Notes: There are many variations of this form, so some configuration may be required. If this is the case, please print a sample and send the actual print to us in Swansea. Because this form is not tightly controlled in its layout, we would highly recommend purchasing paper with just the red flashing down the side and asking us to set up the
Formwise system to print both the form and data. However the system is also configured to print the form and data on to the red-hashed paper, with the outline and data structure having been approved by IATA themselves.
PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST CUSTOMERS ARE EMAILING THEIR DGN DOCUMENTS VIA PDF
FORMATS WHICH ARE INHERENTLY COLOUR PRINTS.
6. CAP/SADs: This form is no longer officially used, was available from HM Customs although the system is configured to print the form, but it must be on yellow paper, and the reverse must be printed, whereas the C88 SAD can be printed on white paper.
7. Self-adhesive Labels: All the various options are based around Avery labels and are widely available, including from Viking Direct. We use Avery L7163 labels for address label prints (14 up on A4), and the Pallet/Hazard Label is designed to use Avery L7168 labels (2 up on A4)
8. Insurance Certificates: In the main we have permission from a wide range of the marine insurance fraternity to print their forms and perhaps the best thing would be to contact us on the Support Line.
Export Information Data:
We would recommend one of these major sources:
a. Croners
Export Digest - Tel: 020 8247 1261
b Tate's Export Guide - Tel: 01908 221162
Please note the on-line version
to either support service can be accessed from the Help options on the Formwise Toolbar.
PDF Printer Driver:
If you wish to create Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Files (PDF) to attach to an e-mail, we would recommend :-
PDF Print Factory Pro, which is available from under mentioned source.

Pen Drives:
This is a USB device, about the size of a highlighter pen, which works under Windows 98 or later, to act as both the drive and media. Unfortunately it does not work under Windows NT. Prices vary substantially but a device which holds
4Gigabytes can be purchased for as little as £5

Internet Security:
Obviously there is considerable concern about infection of the computer by a
virus. We install some software called Viper from a company called GFI which monitors both incoming and outgoing data whilst connected to the internet.
