Whilst in the early days of document systems the forwarders name and address would be stored, it is increasingly routine to store the forwarders name, telephone and fax numbers, and a contact name on the three lines available.
Some users put the forwarder's address in the box below - "Other UK
Transport details". It is also likely that such data, as well as the relevant email address, would be stored in the company's contact and email system, eg Outlook or Lotus Notes.
We consider this option important and widely used enough to make accessible directly from the Toolbar by clicking on the
icon.
Please note that creating a static data record and merging it into a
consignee or consignment will allow reporting of the number of shipments,
values etc and thus allow rate negotiation based on actual figures.
