There are occasions when it would be ideal to have the computer department come and take over your computer to fix problems, and whilst that may be possible in large organisations with a specialised IT department, for many smaller organisations there is no IT section. In those situations, you may like the idea of inviting us to take over your computer and diagnose and fix any problem with your Formwise system.
We have offered such a service for a number of years, initially via modems, then through windows messenger. Both were successful in a limited way, but the
next candidate was some software called VNC. The drawback with this was that some systems come pre-configured with security settings which made it almost impossible to use.
Having had success with other software, we have now found a
solution which seems to work in all situations. The software is Teamviewer
and can be run as follows:-
1. Rune Internet Explorer
2. Log on to
www.teamviwer.com
3. Select the "Run" option, then Run, then Run, then
Next
4. Click to accept licence
5. then Next
6 Select to allow changes
7. Tell us your ID (a nine digit number)
8. Tell us your password (a 4 digit number)
9. we should now be able to share control of your
computer
Please bear in mind that your IT people may
wish to have some input, and if they have an issue, please
get them to talk to us.
